1. Why did you join ABSA?
I joined ABSA because I was looking for a community on campus that would help me grow professionally, socially, and personally. I remember going to my first GM and being amazed by how professional but also cool the people in ABSA were. The more I talked to ABSA members, the more I realized that I not only could learn a lot from them, but that I truly enjoyed their company. The rest is history!
2. What is your favorite ABSA memory?
My favorite ABSA memory was Houston CFT. It was my first CFT and the place where I got to know a lot of new members and deepen my friendships with those I already knew. From spooky stories during the car ride to late night gossiping to exploring the Deloitte office to eating in Chinatown, it was one of the best weekends I shared with ABSA.
3. If you could give one piece of advice to your freshman self, what would it be?
Be open to growing. This can mean a lot of things. I wish I explored more and wasn't as afraid of trying new things. I wish I said yes to everything. It also means being open to pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and reflecting on your person and how you can be better.
4. What is your favorite food/ favorite place to eat in Austin?
I'm a huge foodie, so this is a hard question to answer. But if I had to pick, it'd be the Peached Tortilla. Nothing on the menu is bad. Follow @_dinwithlin for food recs.
